How to Start the Game

Getting into Quenq Vice City takes under a minute. Follow these four steps:

1. Press Play Game. The embedded player replaces the cover image and starts loading the game from the source server.
2. Wait for the first load. The first launch downloads the full game, so it is the slowest one — give it a few minutes on a normal connection. Later visits load much faster because your browser caches the game files. Keep the tab in the foreground.
3. Click once inside the game. That single click gives the game your keyboard focus, so WASD movement and shortcuts start working. This is the number-one reason people think “nothing is responding.”
4. Go fullscreen (optional). Use the Fullscreen button under the player for the full experience — press Esc to exit. On a phone, rotate to landscape first.

Quenq Vice City Controls

On desktop, Quenq Vice City plays like a classic third-person action game: WASD to move, the mouse to look around, and a handful of keys for jumping, sprinting and vehicles. These are the typical defaults:

Exact bindings can vary between game builds, so treat this as the standard layout and check the in-game settings if a key behaves differently. If your keys stop responding entirely, the fix is almost always the same: click once inside the game window so it regains keyboard focus, and make sure no browser extension is intercepting your keystrokes.

Play on Mobile and Controller

Mobile: Quenq Vice City works on modern phones and tablets with on-screen touch controls — a virtual stick for movement and buttons for actions. Rotate to landscape for the best view, keep the browser updated, and close background apps on weaker devices. On Android, Chrome's fullscreen button works normally; on iPhone, Safari does not support fullscreen for games, so use “Add to Home Screen” for an app-like experience instead.

Controller: the embedded player requests gamepad access, so Xbox, PlayStation and generic USB/Bluetooth controllers usually work in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Plug the pad in or pair it, press any button once so the browser detects it, then play. If the controller is ignored, test it on a gamepad tester page first — if it works there but not in game, the current build may not support it.

Save Manager

The built-in Save Manager is how you keep your progress safe in a browser game. It lets you upload existing save files (including classic .b save files), download backups of your current progress, and move saves between devices — start on your desktop, export the save, and continue on your laptop.

Two things to know: saves live in your browser's storage on the game source, so clearing site data or always using private windows can wipe them; and storage space is limited, so keep your important saves exported as downloaded files.

Mod Manager

The Mod Manager handles mods inside the browser version — including DFF model files and TXD texture files. Add a mod file, enable or disable it, and the game loads your customized vehicles and textures without any installation on your computer. Mods are stored in the same browser storage as saves, so the same “don't clear your browser data” warning applies, and heavy mods can cost performance on low-end devices.

Cheats

Cheat codes are part of the classic Vice City experience, and the browser version can support them too: while playing, you simply type the code — health, armor, weapon sets, spawning vehicles, clearing your wanted level, changing the weather. No console or menu needed in most builds. The classics players use most:

One honest caveat: whether a specific code works depends on the current browser build and its keyboard input support, so not every classic code is guaranteed. If a code does nothing, make sure the game window has keyboard focus (click inside it once) and that you typed the code quickly during normal gameplay.

Performance and FPS

Quenq Vice City is built on a classic engine whose physics are tied to the frame rate. That is why you may see an FPS limit option (often around 30 or 60 fps): the cap keeps vehicles, missions and timers behaving correctly. If you unlock the frame rate and missions glitch, cars feel too fast, or timers misbehave, restore the FPS limit — that is expected physics behavior, not a bug in your setup.

For general smoothness: make sure hardware acceleration is enabled in your browser (the most common cause of both black screens and low FPS), keep the browser updated, close memory-heavy tabs, and avoid battery-saver modes on laptops.
